Plate chain conveyors and belt conveyors are two commonly used conveying methods in factory production lines at present, and both have their own advantages and disadvantages.

1. The maintenance cost of plate chain conveyor is lower than that of belt conveyor:

The plate chain conveyor is made by opening the mold, the size is fixed, and the appropriate size can be selected according to the needs. If there is any damage during use, only a single chain plate needs to be replaced. The belt conveyor is different. Even if it is only a little bit broken, the entire belt needs to be replaced.

2. Compared with the curved belt conveyor, the curved plate chain conveyor has a price advantage:

The turning plate chain conveyor can be connected with the straight section as a whole, and a set of electrical control is enough; the turning belt conveyor needs to make a separate turning machine, and the electrical control needs to be separated from the straight section, which increases the electrical cost and the risk of poor transition.

3. The wear resistance of the plate chain conveyor is better than that of the belt conveyor:

Most plate chain conveyors are made of high wear-resistant POM material injection molding. If the production line needs to realize functions such as positioning, blocking, and assembly, plate chain conveyors are a more suitable choice.

4. The service life of the plate chain conveyor is longer than that of the belt conveyor:

In the process of after-sales, the plate chain conveyor only needs to replace a single worn part, and there is no need to replace the whole set; the belt conveyor needs to replace the entire worn belt regularly.

5. Under normal circumstances, the cost of belt conveyors is lower than that of plate chain conveyors:

The cost of materials used in belt conveyors is lower than that of plate chain conveyors, and the manufacturing process is simple, so the overall purchase cost is lower than that of plate chain conveyors.

6. The size of the belt conveyor can be customized according to actual needs, and the size of the chain conveyor is fixed and cannot be customized.

7. The sound of the linear belt conveyor is lower than that of the plate chain conveyor.
