    CO2 refrigerant has multiple advantages and is expected to become the main technical route of heat pump air conditioners in the future. Compared with R1234yf, there is little difference in the environmental performance (GWP, ODP) of the final product between the two, but carbon dioxide has multiple advantages of environmental protection in the manufacturing process, low manufacturing cost, high safety performance, and high heating energy efficiency. Although it is slightly insufficient in cooling performance, in terms of heating, R1234yf can only work at minus 10 degrees, and PTC auxiliary heating and defrosting are required when the temperature is lower than this temperature (the national mandatory factory regulations require defrosting at minus 18 degrees frost), and carbon dioxide solves the problem of low COP value of R1234yf at low temperature and insufficient heating capacity at low temperature. Comparing the comprehensive performance comparison of CO2 and R1234yf applied to heat pump systems, CO2 refrigerant is expected to become the main technical route of heat pump air conditioners.
